compassionate, consent-based and trauma-attuned support for folks and families with complex experiences.
The folks we work with deserve spaces that feel safe, collaborative, and stabilizing. Our work is grounded in protecting voice, agency, and well-being while moving gently and intentionally, at a pace that respects readiness and consent. We honour that every person carries their own story, history, identities, and needs, and that healing is never one-size-fits-all. People come to us for many reasons, including but not limited to: counselling, coaching, co-parenting support, family therapy, facilitated conversations, or mediation rooted in safety and dignity. Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
Our team brings deep experience across family law, mental health, and family systems, with specialized training in trauma, coercive control, neurodivergence, cultural humility, and high-conflict dynamics. Every service is attuned to your lived context from a variety of perspectives - emotionally, culturally, neurologically, relationally, and structurally. We walk alongside you, not ahead of you, supporting clarity, choice, and connection without coercion.
We have particular expertise supporting folks who are court-involved, have family violence woven within their experiences or are navigating heightened conflict, and we work carefully within these systems to prioritize safety, consent, and relational health.
Our services are available in person and virtually across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Support can be provided collaboratively (in the same room or virtual space) or via shuttle formats (separate rooms or virtual spaces), always shaped around your needs, boundaries, and wellbeing. All of our professionals are Master’s-level (or higher) and bring deep experience within their scope of practice. We take our responsibility in your life seriously and are committed to rigorous ongoing training, supervision, and accountability.

for colleagues + referring professionals
Family law and family services professionals can trust that folks and families referred to the co-lab will be supported with exceptional professionalism, consistent follow-through, and clear, transparent communication. We collaborate seamlessly with lawyers, counsellors, child specialists, educators, and community supports to ensure alignment around each child’s best interests and the family’s overall safety.
Our team is highly experienced in court-involved, high-conflict, and trauma-impacted contexts, and we approach every file with the nuance, steadiness, and clinical precision these situations require.
Many of our practitioners bring more than a decade, often two or more, of specialized experience in areas such as family violence, complex co-parenting, substance use/misuse concerns, litigation-involved and agency-involved family dynamics. All counsellors are master’s-level clinicians, and many team members have held prior roles in child protection, forensic settings, law enforcement, and specialized family-service agencies.
When you refer to the co-lab, you’re connecting families with a team that is collaborative, reliable, child-centric, and unwavering in its commitment to safety, clinical integrity, and trauma-aware practice.
